How we select members of CGSG

  1. Chairperson:
    • Experienced leader with expertise in guideline development and implementation.
    • Understanding of dental and public health issues in resource-limited contexts.
    • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  2. Dental Expert:
    • Specialist in dental practice with experience in resource-limited settings.
    • Knowledgeable about preventive and curative dental interventions.
    • Familiarity with oral health challenges specific to underserved populations.
  3. Public Health Specialist:
    • Expertise in public health policy, epidemiology, and community health.
    • Understanding of population-level interventions and health promotion strategies.
    • Experience working in low-resource environments.
  4. Epidemiologist:
    • Proficient in data analysis and interpretation of epidemiological studies.
    • Ability to assess the burden of oral diseases and identify risk factors.
    • Experience in conducting research relevant to dental and public health practice.
  5. Community Health Representative:
    • Advocate for community engagement and participatory approaches.
    • Knowledgeable about local health systems, cultural norms, and social determinants of health.
    • Experience in mobilising communities for health promotion activities.
  6. Healthcare Provider:
    • Practicing dentist or healthcare professional working in resource-limited settings.

Officers

  1. Chairperson:
    • Responsible for leading meetings, setting agendas, and coordinating activities.
    • Facilitates consensus-building among Steering Group members.
    • Represents the group in external engagements and communicates with stakeholders.
  2. Secretariat:
    • Provides administrative support, including scheduling meetings and maintaining records.
    • Coordinates communication within the group and with external stakeholders.
    • Assists in drafting reports, guidelines, and other documentation.
  3. Technical Coordinator:
    • Oversees the technical aspects of guideline development, including evidence synthesis and review.
    • Collaborates with members to ensure adherence to methodological standards.
    • Supports capacity-building efforts related to evidence-based practice.
  4. Community Liaison Officer:
    • Facilitates engagement with local communities and community-based organisations.
