Liste de vérification de la soumission

En tant que partie intégrante du processus de soumission, les auteurs doivent s'assurer de la conformité de leur soumission avec tous les éléments suivants, et les soumissions peuvent être retournées aux auteurs qui ne sont pas conformes à ces directives.
  • La soumission n'a pas déjà été publiée et n'est pas considérée actuellement par une autre revue. Si ce n'est pas le cas, fournir une explication dans le champ "Commentaires au rédacteur".
  • Le fichier de la soumission est dans un des formats de fichier suivants : OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, RTF ou WordPerfect.
  • Lorsque possible, les URLs des références ont été fournies.
  • Le texte est à simple interligne, utilise une police de 12 points, emploie l'italique plutôt que le souligné (sauf pour les adresses URL) et place toutes les illustrations, figures et tableaux aux endroits appropriés dans le texte plutôt qu'à la fin.
  • Le texte se conforme aux exigences stylistiques et bibliographiques décrites dans les Directives aux auteurs, qui se trouvent dans la section « À propos de la revue ».

Directives aux auteurs

Scope of Contributions
Orapuh Journal (Orap J) prioritises high-quality, original research addressing all aspects of oral and public health. The journal also welcomes:

2. Balanced, comprehensive, or critical review articles
3. Evidence-based information targeted at oral and public healthcare consumers
4. Letters to the editor commenting on published articles or research
5. Manuscripts proposing new hypotheses or clinical trial protocols

Authorship
To be recognised as an author, individuals must have made substantial contributions to the development of the article.

While our peer-review and editorial processes aim to minimise errors, all authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information in their manuscripts. Before publication, authors must sign a statement confirming that they meet the authorship criteria. This statement may be signed by the lead or corresponding author on behalf of all contributors.

Corresponding Author
For articles with multiple authors, one author must be designated as the corresponding author. This individual will handle all communication regarding the manuscript. All manuscripts must be submitted by an author.

Orap J subscribes to the WAME Recommendations on Chatbots and Generative Artificial Intelligence in Relation to Scholarly Publications and adopts the RELX Responsible AI Principles in all matters relating to the use of artificial intelligence.

Manuscript Types
The journal accepts the following types of submissions:

Original Research Papers
Original research papers should follow this structure:

i. Title Page
ii. Abstract: Structured with headings (Introduction, Purpose, Methods, Results, Conclusions) and limited to 300 words.
iii. Introduction
iv. Methods: Include appropriate subsections, e.g., statistical methods.
v. Results: Tables and figures should appear alongside the corresponding text.
vi. Discussion
vii. Conclusions
viii. Acknowledgements
ix. Funding information
x. Ethical approval information
xi. Conflict of interest information
xii. Authors' ORCID iD information
xiii. References: Use the APA 7th edition referencing style.

Length: ≤ 3,500 words.

Review Articles and Consumer Information Papers
These articles should provide novel insights, analysis, and interpretation of the literature, offering a balanced appraisal of existing or emerging approaches.
Structure:

i. Title Page
ii. Abstract: Unstructured (250 words maximum).
iii. Introduction
iv. Body: Organised under relevant headings.
v. Conclusion
vi. Acknowledgements
vii. Funding information
viii. Ethical approval information
ix. Conflict of interest information
x. Authors' ORCID iD information
xi. References: Use the APA 7th edition referencing style.

Length: ≤ 3,000 words.

Letters to the Editor and Case Reports
These submissions should be concise and relevant, providing comments on published articles, brief case reports, or observations.

i. Freely styled
ii. Authors' ORCID iD information
iii. References: Use the APA 7th edition referencing style.

Maximum word count: 2,500 words.

Submission Deadlines
There are no specific deadlines. Submissions are accepted year-round, and the journal operates on a publish-as-you-go basis.

Peer-Review
All submitted manuscripts undergo a double-blind peer-review process, reviewed by two independent experts.

Timeframes

Reviewers are expected to accept or decline the review invitation within 1 week.
Reviews should be completed within 1 week of acceptance.

Article Processing Charge (APC)

A. African Authors: $60 (USD)

B. Authors from Other Countries: $120 (USD)

C. Orapuh Scholars: $20 (USD)

D. Externally-funded research: $250 (USD)

Publication Ethics and Research Transparency
Authors are encouraged to review the resources on [Publication Ethics] and [Health Research Transparency]. We subscribe to the standards, principles, and procedures outlined in the resources.

Publication Process

1. Manuscript submission via the online journal management system.
2. Initial editorial review to ensure compliance with journal scope and policies.
3. Double-blind peer review by two independent experts.
4. The author revises the manuscript based on reviewer feedback.
5. Final decision: Accept, Reject, or Further Review.
6. If accepted, the author pays the APC.
7. Final editorial review and copyediting.
8. Assignment of DOI.
9. Publication on the journal’s website and third-party platforms.
10. Long-term preservation in LOCKSS and PKP PN.

Note: Authors are notified at every critical stage of the process and can track progress via their journal accounts.
