Remote work policy

The purpose of this policy is to establish guidelines and expectations for remote work arrangements for all employees, volunteers, and interns of Orapuh to ensure productivity, collaboration, and work-life balance while maintaining the organisation’s mission and standards.

Remote work eligibility is determined based on job roles, performance, and managerial approval. Not all positions may be eligible for remote work due to the nature of their responsibilities.

Employees, volunteers, and interns must adhere to their designated work hours as agreed upon with their supervisors. Flexibility may be allowed within reason, but core hours for team collaboration and meetings must be observed.

Regular communication is essential for remote work success. Employees, volunteers, and interns are required to be accessible during work hours via email, messaging platforms, and other designated communication channels.

Orapuh will provide necessary equipment and technology resources for remote work, including laptops, software licenses, and access to necessary tools. Employees are responsible for the proper use and maintenance of provided equipment.

Remote workers must adhere to Orapuh’s data security policies and procedures at all times. This includes safeguarding sensitive information, using secure networks, and following protocols for accessing organisational systems remotely.

Remote workers are expected to maintain the same level of productivity, quality of work, and professionalism as they would in an office environment. Performance will be evaluated based on agreed-upon objectives and deliverables.

Despite physical distance, collaboration and teamwork remain crucial. Remote workers are expected to actively participate in team meetings, projects, and initiatives, leveraging available technology for effective communication and collaboration.

Remote workers are responsible for creating a conducive work environment at their designated remote location. This includes ensuring a quiet and professional workspace, minimizing distractions, and adhering to health and safety guidelines.

Orapuh recognises the importance of flexibility in remote work arrangements. Employees, volunteers, and interns may request adjustments to their schedules or work arrangements, subject to managerial approval and operational feasibility.

Remote workers are required to maintain accurate records of their work activities and hours worked. Managers may conduct periodic check-ins to ensure accountability and provide support as needed.

Orapuh reserves the right to terminate remote work arrangements at any time based on organisational needs, performance concerns, or violation of organisational policies.

This remote work policy will be periodically reviewed and updated as necessary to reflect changes in technology, best practices, and organisational needs.

All employees, volunteers, and interns are required to review and acknowledge receipt of this remote work policy. Failure to comply with the provisions outlined in this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or volunteer/internship status.
