Preamble

Prior to submitting any article or document to Orapuh for publication, authors are encouraged to thoroughly review the following policies. All manuscripts submitted to Orapuh must adhere to these policies. By submitting a manuscript, the author agrees to comply with Orapuh’s policies.

Authorship

Authors of Orapuh articles or documents must have significantly contributed to their development. While our peer-review and editorial processes aim to minimise errors, all authors are responsible for the accuracy and integrity of the information provided. Before publication, authors must sign a statement confirming that the article/document meets the authorship criteria. The lead or corresponding author may sign on behalf of all authors.

Corresponding Author

In cases involving multiple authors, one author must be designated as the corresponding author responsible for all communications related to the article/document.

In-text Citations and Referencing

Orapuh follows the APA referencing guide (7th edition). Authors should ensure their manuscript adheres to its conventions.

Consent for Publication

Written informed consent must be obtained from copyright owners, their parent/guardian (if under 18), or next of kin (if the copyright holder has passed away), granting permission for the use of details, images, and videos under the Creative Commons Attribution License 4.0. If the details, images, or videos are entirely unidentifiable and contain no information about individuals, this requirement does not apply. The manuscript must include a statement confirming that written informed consent for publication was obtained.

Self-Plagiarism

Replicating text from one’s own previous publication may be considered unacceptable. However, if necessary or unavoidable, it should be transparently reported, taking copyright requirements into account.

Ethics Approval

Before conducting research involving human participants, human material, or human data, authors must seek ethics approval from an appropriate ethics committee in accordance with the Declaration of Helsinki. Manuscripts reporting such research must include a statement about the approval or exemption, along with the name and reference number of the ethics committee. The editor reserves the right to contact the committee for further information, if necessary.

Competing Interests

Authors, editors, and reviewers must disclose all competing interests, whether financial or non-financial. Authors should declare any competing interests at the end of their manuscript. If there are no competing interests, the statement should read, “The author(s) declare(s) that they have no competing interests.”

Co-publication in Multiple Organisations

Orapuh may consider publishing an article or document that has previously been published elsewhere, subject to the editor’s discretion and agreement with the original publisher.

Research Summaries

From time to time, relevant research summaries from independent researchers or organisations within Orapuh’s niche may be made freely accessible online. These summaries may undergo peer-review.

Acknowledgements

All individuals who contributed to the manuscript’s success should be acknowledged in the “Acknowledgements” section.

Other Important Editorial Policies

Peer-Review for Journal Publication

Orapuh employs a thorough peer-review process for articles submitted to its journals, ensuring alignment with the organisation’s niche and the significance, accuracy, and originality of the information provided. The organisation follows a double-blind peer-review system, maintaining anonymity between authors and reviewers.

Peer-Reviewers

The selection of independent experts to review a manuscript is the responsibility of the Handling Editor. Authors can suggest potential reviewers who are not current colleagues or recent collaborators. While authors can request the exclusion of certain individuals as peer reviewers, the Handling Editor is not obligated to use or exclude these reviewers.

Portability of Peer Review

Orapuh welcomes manuscripts previously reviewed by another publisher or third party but not published by our organisation, encouraging the development of new researchers and authors.

Editorial Review

Our editorial process is meticulous, ensuring the accuracy of facts and the presentation of well-formed perspectives.

Confidentiality

Editors and reviewers must treat all manuscripts and information received during the editorial or review process as confidential. Only published information should be made public.
