- Eligibility for Programme Change
- Enroled students may apply for a change from one programme or programme plan to another if they meet the eligibility criteria for the new programme.
- Programme changes are subject to approval by the academic administration, and learners must adhere to the academic calendar deadlines for submitting a change request.
- Application Process
- The student must submit a formal application for the programme change to the Registry Department.
- Applications must be accompanied by proof of payment of $12 (USD) programme change fee.
- Conditions for Programme Change
- The student must be in good academic standing (i.e., not on academic probation or suspension).
- The student must meet all admission and academic requirements for the new programme.
- The programme change must be requested before the deadline specified by the school. Late applications may be considered on a case-by-case basis but could incur additional administrative fees.
- Procedure for Approval
- Upon receiving the application and payment, the Registry Department will review the student’s academic record and consult with the respective department heads.
- Approval or denial of the request will be communicated to the student within 3 working days.
- If approved, the student’s record will be updated to reflect the new programme plan, and they will receive an updated course schedule.
- Impact on Course Credits
- Credits already earned in the original programme may be transferred to the new programme, provided they meet the requirements of the new plan.
- Students may be required to complete additional courses or repeat certain courses to meet the new programme’s requirements.
- Fee Payment Terms
- The programme and programme plan change fee is non-refundable, even if the application for the change is denied or if the student decides not to proceed after submitting the request.
- Restrictions
- Students may only apply for a programme change once per academic session.
- If a student requests multiple programme changes, additional fees will apply for each subsequent request.
- Extenuating Circumstances
- Students with documented extenuating circumstances may request a fee waiver, which will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
- Appeals Process
- In the event of a denied request, the student may appeal the decision by submitting an appeal to the ORDC within three (3) working days.
