Author Guidelines

Steps in developing Oral and Public Health Methods, Guidelines, or Procedures for Orapuh Protocols (OraPro)
1. Identify the specific issue or scenario that you wish to address.
2. Recruit a team of persons that are interested in the specific topic to support the evidence gathering for the method, guideline, or procedure
3. If the method, guideline, or procedure is a part of a paper that has already been accepted for publication in Orapuh Journal (Orap J), or Orapuh Literature Reviews (Orap Lit Rev), you may proceed to no. 6
4. If this is a fresh work, submit a proposal to the Orapuh Research Ethics Board (OREB) for consideration
5. If the proposal is approved, search for existing research-based method, guideline, or procedure (don’t reinvent the wheel). If nothing appropriate exists, then search the evidence on the specific issue or scenario. You will need to Ask a clinical question and Acquire and Appraise that evidence.
6. Draft your method, guideline, or procedure on the evidence. They should be simple, short, straightforward, logical, and focus on the needs of the end-user. You should prime a step-by-step rendition of the method, guideline, or procedure
7. Submit method, guideline, or procedure to Orapuh Protocols (OraPro)
8. Be prepared to conduct a regular update of the method, guideline, or procedure to ensure it keeps step with current evidence
