1. Purpose

This policy outlines the procedures and conditions for programme duration, extensions, and related fees at Orapuh School.

2. 12-Week Programmes

  • Extension Due to Extenuating Circumstances
    • Free Extension: Students who fail to complete the programme within 12 weeks due to extenuating circumstances are eligible for a 1-month free extension.
    • Request Process: Students must write to the registry unit explaining their circumstances and receive approval for the extension.
    • Additional Fees: After the free extension, students will pay the 12th part of their enrolment fee for each extra week.
  • Late Submission of Summative Assessment
    • Fee: Failure to submit a summative assessment by the due date incurs a $12 fee.
    • Submission: Late submissions must include the payment receipt.

3. Other Programmes

  • Extension Discretion
    • Extensions for other programmes are at the discretion of the faculty members handling the programme.
    • Any extra week beyond the approved extension attracts a fee equivalent to the 4th part of the programme’s enrolment fee.

4. Procedure for Extensions

  • Application: Students must apply for extensions in writing, providing valid reasons and supporting documents.
  • Approval: Extensions are granted based on the merits of the case and faculty discretion for non-12-week programmes.

5. Fee Payment

  • Fees for additional weeks or late submissions must be paid promptly to avoid further penalties or delays in academic progress.

6. Review and Updates

This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure it meets the needs of students and the institution.

By adhering to this policy, Orapuh School ensures fairness and clarity in managing programme durations and extensions, promoting academic success and timely completion.
