Professor V. E. Adamu, FOCS is an African oral and public health scholar and academic administrator who became the first president and chief academic officer (CAO) of Orapuh in 2020.
He has had a distinguished career in both the industry and academia, spanning almost three decades. He began his academic career in Nigeria before becoming involved with universities in Africa, Asia, Europe, and South America.
He is affiliated with Frontier University, Euclid University, The Euler-Franeker Memorial University. UNICAF, Chandigarh University, Orapuh School, and a few other Universities/Institutions.
Prof. Adamu has held varying positions in academic administration at different times, including serving as Head of Department, Sub-Dean of Faculty, Director of Students Affairs, University Academic Planning Officer, Director of an Academic Institute in a University, Deputy Vice-Chancellor, etc.
Educated at the Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Enugu, Nigeria, and Imo State University (IMSU), Owerri, Nigeria, he is an oral protozoologist and a public health expert and parasitologist. He holds an MPH in generic public health and a Ph.D. focused on oral protozoology, parasitology, and public health, mentored by Professor B. E. B. Nwoke, FAS, FPPSN and Professor Augustine A. Amaechi.
