Programme Description
This programme is a 3-month (12-week) online certificate programme designed to equip students with the skills, knowledge, and competencies required to provide high-quality medical social work services to individuals in various settings.
The programme is intensive and combines theoretical learning with practical experience, ensuring graduates are well-prepared for a career in medical social work.
Programme Structure
The programme is divided into 3 key components:
1. Classroom Learning
2. Practical Training
3. Assessment and Evaluation
Each week will focus on specific topics and skills, with continuous assessments to monitor progress.

1. To educate learners on the basic principles and practice of medical social work.
2. To produce graduates who would improve medical social work through excellence and quality care, ultimately supporting favourable care outcomes.
3. To equip learners for future professional development and self-actualization.
4. To educate learners on the ability to cooperate with individuals, teams or groups and specialists in the business of medical social care
Teaching Target
The teaching target of the Mini-Master of Social Work programme is to help learners to grasp the basic knowledge and skills needed to master the basic techniques of caregiving administration and establish the foundation for a sound caregiving enterprise.

How we teach these courses and modules
This programe is taught and assessed entirely (100%) online/ODL.
We utilise the Flipped Classroom Model of Instruction, using the best available, cost-effectiveness media (WhatsApp, Telegram, & YouTube).
- We assign pre-recorded lecture audios and videos and other resources as homework to be watched or engaged before class.
- Students make their own notes or jot down major points and may also consult materials outside of school resources for better understanding of lessons and to enrich their notes/jottings.
- We spend classroom time on valuable activities like review of lecture and/or other resources, discussions, Q & A, real-life applications, and projects.
- For each course, live interactive sessions hold as scheduled in the Programme’s Roadmap. Each session runs for about 45 minutes to 1 hour
- There are regular (weekly) academic webinars that support learning and career/business development.
- The capstone (practicum/field work) summarises the overall achievement in the programme.
- Faculty-Student Forum (WhatsApp and Telegram) goes from 10 am – 4 pm Monday to Friday

EF Payment Plans
- Plan 1: pay all EF before resumption
- Plan 2: pay 50% of EF before resumption and pay the rest 50% one month after the first payment. This plan also attracts an extra charge

- Plan 3: Pay 1/3rd of EF before resumption, pay another 1/3rd one month after resumption, and pay the last 1/3rd two months after resumption. This plan also attracts an extra charge

**Failure of a student to keep to the specific requirements of their chosen EF payment plan results in the termination of all learning activities for the defaulting student.
