A new yet-to-be-published study, led by Victor Wenze Zhong (Department of Epidemiology and Biostatistics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine, China), presented this week at a meeting of the American Heart Association suggests that intermittent fasting, where you eat only during a limited time each day, might increase the risk of heart attack and stroke.

However, experts caution that the findings aren’t definitive due to potential factors like diet reporting accuracy and other lifestyle influences. Further research is needed to understand the true impact of intermittent fasting on health.
